TREASURER’S REPORT
Carl Fjelsted provided Treasurer’s Report that the current checkbook balance was $8,384.73 with all bills paid in full. As of 8/27/15, we have 44 paid members for the year 2015 (28 hotels, 15 vendors, 1 utility). The password for the website was changed on April 1st, 2015 and sent to all paid 2015 members. Quorum present requested comparison of 2014 to 2015 paid members which Carl Fjelsted will assemble for the August Meeting.
OLD/NEW BUSINESS
No update on Membership Committee by Tim Altier. Mike Edwards, George Barnes and Clark Potter offered to assist in the effort. Regrouped to contact hotels not participating.
PSHEA Trade Show has been postponed until 1st Qtr 2016. Tim Altier, Charlie Prib, and Tim Bartholomew are coordinating efforts to hold the Trade Show in conjunction with the PSHEA Monthly Meeting.
A great time was had by those attending. We bought 27 sets of tickets (26 showed up for the event and 1 no-showed.
The PSHEA Board of Directors has retained the services of Jim Fry as a Consultant to the Board as it regards to Parliamentarian issues. FEB2015 UPDATE > The Board of Directors are in the final stages of completing our filing of PSHEA official status with IRS. MAR2015 UPDATE > The Board of Directors have retained the services of Teresa Daggett, Attorney at Law with the law firm Gordon Thomas Honeywell LLP.
Regulatory Updates
CO Monitoring for Hotels – Rod Schauf updated the group that they are revisiting the enforcement for Educational Occupancy criteria. NO UPDATE
Washington Elevator Advisory Committee – David Gault reported that his term on the committee was over but the State WA Elevator Inspector would continue to reach out to PSHEA for their input over BOMA.
FUTURE PSHEA MEETINGS
The September 2015 PSHEA Meeting to be held at Salish Lodge with Siemens on September 24, 2015. Topic of discussion: TBD.
The October 2015 PSHEA Meeting to be held at ThyssenKrupp – Bellevue on October 29, 2015. Topic of discussion: TBD.
The November 2015 PSHEA Meeting to be held at Embassy Suites – Bellevue with Johnson Controls hosting on November 19, 2015. Topic of discussion: TBD.
The December 2015 PSHEA Meeting is cancelled for annual Holiday Dinner at TBD on December 3rd or 10th at 5:30pm. The PSHEA BOD is holding a meeting on September 9th to discuss and plan for this event.
The January 2016 Annual PSHEA Meeting to be held at Renaissance Seattle on January 28, 2016. We will hold the Election of 2016 PSHEA Officers. Topic of discussion: TBD.
The February 2016 PSHEA Meeting to be held at TBD on February 28, 2016. Topic of discussion: TBD.
